Haley Art Gallery is open for the season

Haley Art Gallery in Kittery opened for its 2021 season on Earth Day.

Showcased artwork includes work by Stephen Brandon, Barbara D’Antonio, Dean Diggins, Berj Kailian, Alex Pikas and Anthony Montanino.

The group exhibit will be on view through August.

The gallery’s gift shop includes social impact gift items that were handmade by women from around the world. Visitors can purchase items in person or online through the gallery’s Facebook page.

A limited number of visitors are permitted inside the gallery, and masks are required at all times.

Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

“For Peace Sake” Group Exhibit Opens at Haley Art Gallery

Celebrate World Peace Day at Haley Art Gallery with For Peace Sake group exhibit opening reception on Saturday, September 21, 3-6pm in Kittery.  Works on exhibit include those by artists: Barbara D’Antonio, Tom Glover, Gene Galipeau, Patricia Kaufman and Bill Oakes.  The exhibit will remain on view through November 23. Opening day art purchases will get a 15% discount.

 “With wars waging at every corner of our planet, we observe World Peace Day by surrounding our patrons and the public with creative works of our artists that reflect serenity, hope, and fellowship as a community to preserve our fragile world,” explains Jackie Abramian and Harout DerSimonian owners of the Haley Art Gallery.

The Gallery’s grounds showcase colorful metal sculptures by Chris Newcomb and its gift shop offers handmade artisanal gifts created by women in the U.S., as well as those made by refugee, marginalized and disadvantaged women across the globe from African countries, to Syria, Lebanon, Cambodia, India, Armenia and more.  Patrons enjoy social impact shopping by empowering women across the globe to earn a living and become financially independent.

Portland Bach Experience Salon Night at Haley Art Gallery

On Thursday June 20, 7-9pm Haley Art Gallery, in Kittery will host the ‘Dark Horse Brass Consort’ as part of the Portland Bach Experience Salon night which brings famed musical groups to intimate settings so patrons can mingle with the musicians while enjoying Bach’s chamber music.  Attendance is by reservation only – space is limited. Haley Art Gallery is the exclusive U.S. gallery showcasing products from I LOVE SYRIA social enterprise which employs 100+ internally displaced refugee women in Syria to create handmade jewelry and accessories designed by Geneva-based designer, Rania Kinge.  In its continued commitment to financially support refugee artisans, the gallery will offer 15% discount on all of the handmade jewelry, bags and hand blown glass items made by refugees for the entire month of June.

Morgan Gallery at Kittery Community Center features a gallery show by Nancy R. Davison. Nancy  has been making linoleum cuts of the world around her for fifty years. Many of her images come from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as well as York Beach and Ogunquit, Maine. Others have been inspired by trips to Italy, Japan and the third floor stair landing of the Portland Art Museum.
